Uninstall Pip
How to remove it, and what to do about your licence seat before you do.
Deactivate first#
Heads up
If you are moving to another machine, release the seat from Settings before you uninstall — it saves a support round-trip later. Moving to a new machine.
Remove it#
- 01
Right-click the tray icon and quit Pip.
- 02
Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
- 03
Find Pip, then choose Uninstall. The install is per-user, so Windows will not ask for an administrator password.
What is left behind#
Nothing that matters. Pip keeps no database of your projects because it never built one — every scan is read fresh from the running system. Your stored licence is encrypted to your Windows user account, and is worthless to anything else.
